Stefano Teso

Stefano Teso is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Trento.

He has received his PhD in Information Engineering and Computer Science (with a biological flavor) from the University of Trento. He has been a Postdoc at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, Italy, at the University of Trento, Italy, and at KU Leuven, Belgium.

His main research interests are Explainable and Interactive Machine Learning, Statistical Relational Learning, and Constraint Learning, and on integrating Knowledge and Learning.  He has a background in Bioinformatics.

In 2016-2017 he taught a course on Scientific Programming for Quantitative and Computational Biology at the University of Trento.  He served as a teaching assistant for courses on both Machine Learning (KU Leuven) and Informatics (University of Trento).

In 2015 he won a Caritro Foundation grant.
